The same printing plate used to make this card was used for the "Grimes Red Caption" version of the card, but it appears to have been trimmed at the bottom to make room to print the caption below the image -- the "Keep Off the Grass" sign that is surrounded by grass on the older card is right at the bottom edge of the engraving here.

The Tresslar 5c & 10c series

This series of cards seems to be a reprint of the "Grimes Red Caption series. The cards in this series are not numbered, so I can't be sure how many were included. The following cards have surfaced:

This card was mailed from Salem, postmarked 4 p.m. Feb. 11, 1924, and addressed to Mrs. Daisy Spurgeon, St. Anthony Hospital, Louisville, Ky. The message reads, "Dear Friend, Glad to hear you are doing fine and guess you will be home soon. From Hazel & Ollie." (9/26/01)
