Millport Knob, A Curve Near the Foot of the Hill

This view of the road through the Knobs is so featureless it's almost generic. There's nothing in it to connect it to the other cards in the Cosmos series -- no Neal's Soda Fountain sign, to be sure. The connection is probably that it was snapped by the same photographer who took the preceding view just a few minutes later, as he came down the Knobs headed north toward Brownstown.

It's as featureless on the back as it is on the front -- never mailed, never scribbled on, it's clean except for the Cosmos newsboy logo. Until I find out when the road was paved and became Indiana 135 the best I can do for a date is the early to mid-1920s. (02/07/02)
