The card was postmarked on Nov. 1, 1909, and addressed to Mrs. Ora Graham, Logansport, Ind. The message begins on the left half of the back and runs over to the front: "Dear Sis., as I haven't much time to write I thoght I would drop you a card. Boyd has been here since Thur. Left last night for Paoli, will be back Saturday. He likes pie & cake so well I baked a spiced cake & rason pie. Thought I would let him have a bite before he left yesterday, but he did not come in until I had gone to church so he failed to get it. Mother is at Borden, has been to New Albany visiting, will be home this week. She failed to get to see Aunt Jane as she had gone to Ohio. Doesn't it seem strange to think that Millie is in Washington, Dora." (08/06/2004) |
