Another card in the "Red Back" set. The overprinted black line covers up a printer's mistake: the card had originally been captioned "M.E. Church, Salem, Indiana". The Methodist Church card was likewise miscaptioned "Baptist Church, Salem, Ind." The printer blacked out both misprints and added correct captions.

This card was postmarked from Salem at 9 a.m. on Sept. 19, 1915. The card is addressed to Mrs. L. L. Lockwoodk, Adams St., Muncie, Ind. The message reads:

"Salem, Ind., 9-18-1915. Dear Friend, Just a line We are home and at the Same ould grind bouth feeling fine these good ould Summer days. this is the picture of the Church we live So near by. Mrs. L. B. McKinley." (09/29/04)
